In May, NPAFACS had run two workshops, one at NPA College and the other at the New Mapoon Art Centre, which encouraged our youth to think about what kept their spirit strong, and what this means to them.

We helped them to brainstorm ideas, whether that was through their family, school, community, and their future, and to create that through their art. This was displayed at the last night of the event. Thank you to the talented artists who presented their incredible artwork to the NPA.

We want to thank BEL for sponsoring the Dancers, IBIS for their donations and the NPARC council for their support and donations for the event. Also, we’d like to express a special thank you to those who volunteered, including Alfie Nona, Josie Nona and the subcommittee members for cooking for the event. Lastly, we would also like to thank the most influential people in this event, the ones who we would not have been able to do this without, and the ones who have been working alongside us for the past week, our young youths.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to the inspirational speakers for attending and speaking about your journey and how you have become successful, even though there were difficulties, the important thing is to remember you can overcome your hardships and kept going.
