Ms Sam has extensive knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, specific to primary health care. She has a great passion for health and social wellbeing and has been highly involved strategically and operationally planning and implementing health initiatives and programs to bring about positive health outcomes for the region. Ms Sam has worked within the primary health care sector for the past 19 years including 9 years in management positions and has enjoyed the challenges involved with the business and tailoring services to meet the specific needs of community. Beatrice Nona - Director Expand Member for Injinoo Community Portfolios held: Social Wellbeing Child Protection Education Youth Beatrice Nona is a Torres Strait Islander descent, who is a resident of Injinoo Aboriginal Community in the Northern Peninsula Area region. Raised in Bamaga, and living in Injinoo with her family. Beatrice has been employed for the local community Councils in Injinoo and Umagico before moving onto the amalgamated Council. Beatrice have enjoyed working for the past 30 years and is currently based at the NPARC Umagico Office. Beatrice has gained many skills , experiences and qualifications within the Council in the Finance & Administration Area. Also have been involved in the local women's group of Injinoo Community and a member of NPAWS. With great involvement in community events, sharing, and socializing have led to a better understanding and knowledge of the way of living in the community amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people. Mrs. Nona is newly elected Director for NPAFACS and is a representative of the Injinoo Action Group.
