We use the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker led policy. This means that you will be seen by an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker when you arrive at our clinic before you see the doctor or any other health services. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker will ask you why you have come to see the doctor, check your blood pressure, weight and take other measurements. They will also check if you are due for any health checks or have results to be given from previous visits. If there are questions about the information that the doctor or other service providers have given to you, our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers are happy to explain or ask the doctor to explain further for you. We want you to feel comfortable using our Primary Health Service and want to feel that you can ask questions when you need more information.
