Each May, Queensland marks Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month (DFVP Month) to raise community awareness of domestic and family violence and to send a clear message that violence of this sort will not be tolerated.

NPA FACS Client Services Unit hosted events and workshop regarding our Nation Wide Domestic & Family Violence Prevention Month in May. We started the month off with a Candle Light Vigil in remembrance of the victims that had lost their lives through a domestic circumstance, we continued the month with workshops and sessions within the 5 communities. The purpose of these workshops and sessions were to educate the NPA about Domestic & Family Violence and to show that it is not tolerated in our communities.
