Compliance and Accreditation

RACGP

Royal Australian College of General Practitioners

Expand

In March 2017, NPA Family and Community Services received full accreditation from AGPAL against the RACGP 4th Edition Standards for General Practice. This represents the organisation’s commitment about providing high quality, safe and effective care to our patients. In addition, the accreditation ensures the service has adequate policies and procedures in place to ensure timely care and advice of patients and to support continuity of care with other service providers. Over the past 12 months, the organisation has been working hard to implement these Quality Improvement Activities and work towards achieving accreditation against the RACGP 5th Edition Standards for General Practice in late 2019.

National Quality Framework

Expand

Over the past 12 months, we have been focusing on improving the standards at each of the childcare centres. We have implemented an action plan at each of the centres to address any gaps with the National Quality Framework and relevant state legislation and staff have been trained in these changes. We have also developed a simple audit tool for staff against the State Legislation to monitor progress against this. Each of the centres has a Quality Improvement plan in place which is aligned to the National Quality Framework and details the centre’s work towards each of the 7 quality areas.
